What do other people ( you!) think about adding the possibility to start a character in classic to convert it to LoD at some point in the run?Īs variable to the main categories? (Note: I dislike that option, as I find it hard to come up with a run that could potentially be faster when started in classic and that would result in the runs not being seen/recognized & all other runs having an extra variable listed - also it would be odd as not all chars have the possibility to do it in the first place.) Regarding the suggestion of this category: Just because I don't like adding everything anyone had ever thought of that doesn't mean it's a bad idea. Just because it's not listed here, that doesn't mean its not allowed, bad, not worth running, a waste of time. If the conversion strategy is allowed I'll definitely try to route it in a way where I convert to expansion in the end and kill hell baal.Īgain, please please please, anyone out there who thinks about running something that is currently not tracked here: I'm pretty sure the time can be cut down to under 3 hours quite comfortably. I did 3 runs and my best time so far has been 3 hours 20 minutes. I wanted to see how fast I can complete hell in classic with a sorceress using players x. Only need to figure out how to complete hell act 5 after you convert. Whirlwind is absolutely insane in classic and you can roll through hell classic even in players 8 rather well. I think some challenging runs like players 8 barb would be faster through the classic route as well. In normal runs (players x or players eight) for example you could do den of evil faster in classic players 8, because enemies have less health, but the experience is about the same so you could finish den in classic on high player setting and then convert when done. There are also a lot of problems I'm sure since you can't get any of the expansion items in classic which might make it complicated, but it's worth testing I think. Also non expansion hell is quite a bit easier than expansion hell so it can probably be finished faster in the first place. For example when you complete hell in non-expansion and convert your character to expansion you can still enter hell which means you just skipped normal and nightmare act 5. Just wondering if it's even worth testing if in the end it's not allowed anyway. There's some potential for sure, but needs testing.
